The eight string tenor ukulele is often used in Hula Halau’s and with Hawaiian music, but it is a really great instrument with any style. You will love the smoothness you can get with your strumming. Your fingers just glide across the strings. The sound is sort of like two ukuleles playing together. It's a more full sound.
This Kala eight string is at an entry level price, but, after our setup work, it plays excellent, and as you can see, it looks fantastic! Beautiful gloss finish over a three ply laminate mahogany.
Binding and purflings are done very precisely and the multi layered slotted headstock gives a custom style look. We have begun to stock this model because for such a small price extra you get a pickup system to plug into an amp or even recording software.
